To a fresh start

Salaam!

Life is a journey, from Allah to Allah. One year past, whether Hijri or Gregorian, only means that we are one year closer to returning to Him, our Creator. Those passing years saw that we celebrated the new years not in productive/islamic ways. Now that 2013 is going to end in a blink, we're suggesting changes! Lets make this coming year a milestone, a beginning of something new, a fresh start to a better us!

Up there, Benjamin said some really interesting things, things that are taught to us by Prophet Muhammad (saw): to surpress our nafs, kind with others and being a better person each day. Things to ponder and reflect upon... these remaining days, try to look back, throughout this passing year, what' we've been doing? Have we been a better person, son, friend or student than the past year? And most importantly, have we been a better Muslim? There are still plenty of time to 'construct' some new year resolutions hee.. :)

Road to Taqwa Camp 2013: The Anticipated Journey Finally Begun!

Alhamdulillah, all praises only for Allah who made it possible for us to successfully organised the Road to Taqwa Camp 2013 (6/12/2013 - 8/12/2013) which has ended with flying colors! Planning all the activities was hard enough, but doing things as planned was even more difficult. Nevertheless, this camp was our first attempt and surely there are many things to be learnt from here and we have to accept with open hearts that no matter how detailed we planned things, Allah too plans and He is the best planner.

Now that the camp has ended, our journey has just begun. Our sincere hopes and du'as are that this camp will become a turning point to all of us to become better Muslims and as another step in our long road in attaining taqwa and mardhatillah.
